PostSubject: Texture problem with ATR 42 500   Sat Apr 12, 2008 8:33 pm

During my flight this evening I check the exterior view and found my wings are not being displayed. Did some trouble shooting and found they show up just fine in daylight hours. The default texture works just fine. I compared the two texture files and they are identical.
Would appreciate any suggestions. guidance or words of advice that I can use to correct this missing wing business.

Hi Ken,

Try opening the wing textures in DXTBMP and changing the darkness of the alpha to a light gray. Also do the same for all of the textures and then save as DXT3.. This worked for me.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, I copied and replaced the wing BMP's from the stock texture file into the RBD painted texture; it worked. I will play around, and learn more about the Alpha channel business. This painting thing is really interesting.
