Hi Everyone,
I know this subject has been tossed around a bit and we have had valiant painters bringing their offerings for review as Rainbird Schemes.
After much discussion amongst the Management Team, and after reviewing our old scheme, current scheme and other schemes...It is best for Rainbird to stick with its current mainline fleet scheme.
We have one exception and that is to announce that the "Ribbon scheme" done by Brian will be used for two corporate birds and will be adapted to one very special 737-700.
This is done to celebrate our 1st anniversary!! The main premise for staying with our current livery is VA "branding." In the real world we see this all the time. The current scheme at Rainbird was as most may know a collaborative scheme that the then pilots designed together. We gave all painters some freedom in coming up with individual "tail art" in the form of sky theme based tail inserts...

It was voted on by membership through many steps... Not all were 100% happy, but it is fair to say most were. It was the first time to my knowledge that a VA had the full input of all flying members in the design of the VA "brand."
I want to thank all of those who have contributed paints in the Rainbird colors... Ken, Nathan, Blacky and Pappy. Your contibutions are greatly appreciated by all who fly them. As we continue to grow, we will require your skills again, so thank you in advance.
We will readdress the issue of the VA paint scheme at sometime in the future. But for now we will stay with what we have.
Thank you for your understanding!
Jeff
