Gentlemen Captains,

Rainbird has a position open for a "Route Planner." This person would assist me in keeping the routes loaded and up to date with our birds.

Qualifications:

Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet progam on your computer.
Desire to work for free (Virtual cash is included)
A desire to learn VCAS, the VAFS client system.
A creative thinker!
A current, flying Rainbird member in good standing (that means almost everyone)

This will be a fun gig for someone who is interested... The reason I am doing this is so that I have more time to dedicate to keeping the website running, birds updated etc... I also have a couple of new things to bring to Rainbird and this will really help!

Sounds fun. I'd be willing to take this on, but I do have some time limitations coming up over the next month that would slow me down a bit. I have several criminal trials scheduled for April (they let us practice before we graduate from law school in Colorado ), and exams too.

I would certainly be interested in researching, tweaking and planning the route system, and I find the whole VAFS structure fascinating. But if anyone with more experience and/or time wants it, I wont be disappointed at all.

Both Ken and Vern has stepped up to provide us with creative Route Scheduling!


Ken will be focused on PROP routes for Pax, Cargo and Corporate.

Vern will be focused on JET routes for Pax, Cargo and Corporate

This is excellent as it will give us a lot more variety. The Route Suggestion Forum is where routes can be requested and Ken and Vern will post new routes they come up with there as well.

Thanks to both for volunteering!! This will be a great help when we cut over to VAFS3 Gold.
