PostSubject: March Airline Financial Performance   Tue Mar 31, 2009 4:15 pm

Gents,

We had a good month despite not being back at full strength. In fact, below please find our pseudo balance sheet for the month. Individual pilot ranking stats will update and will be visible on the "Stats and Seniority" page some time later tonight.

Overall a good month! One thing that we can do to increase margin is make sure we are planning fuel properly. Once we get back to releases (more on that later tonight) we should see a proportional raise in our net profits. We grossed $18m with a $13m net. Our primary expense was A/C leases at $9.2m. Combined with "cash on hand" at the end of last month, we have a monthly close of $24m. After leases pay out tonight we will have depleted our cash down to $14.8 million which puts us in a great position for April as Feb over Mar we started at $10m.

Nice job to all the pilots that have been flying!! Thank you!!

Wow, I wonder what the system uses for fuel costs... seems like we're getting cheap gas!

D -

I don't think the gas is so cheap: those numbers work out to $2.08/lb (!) or about $13.92/gal (!!). Pretty steep for what was "refinery junk" eighty years ago, when the process produced more kerosene than the companies could sell.
