Gentlemen Captains,

Here is a blurb on what is coming for us in VAFS3 Gold... We are paid and ready to rumble... Lots of neat features!!

____________________________________________________________________________________________

I know everyone has some questions about the whole subscription package and I am going to outline the steps that are going to happen before this goes into effect. I have decided to push this back to May 1 of this year to give me some extra time to get these done.

TIMELINE
----------------------
1. VCAS Web based application to be released.
2. VAFS Patch to be released.
3. Subscription service to start May 1.

VCAS Web App
----------------------
Faster application for VA management.
You can change tail numbers (registration)
You can change ticket prices.
You can now edit every aspect of a route.
Admin usernames will not be deleted or removed intermittantly. (HUGE problem will be resolved).
Flight removal or adjustment tool will be working and all requests will be resolved.

VAFS Patch
----------------------
Faster loading times for VA Data
Will record every aspect of the flight for pilot performance
Each flight will effect the VA's reputation for passenger share
Flight uploading will be faster.
The VA will have the ability to upload a flight via FTP to their own server in xml format.

XML DATA
----------------------
Each VA will have access to XML data for their respective VA. You will be able to use this data with any language to parse and display the data any way you please.
Templates and information will guide you to the tag definitions and breif examples in PHP.

VA CONTESTS
----------------------
VA CEO's will be able to compete in contests to be determined.
Pilot contests will follow for those VA's subscribed.

There are many other features that I would like to get out before the subscription timeframe however the VCAS and VAFS updates are the prime updates that need to be in effect at the time of the subscription service.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
-----------------------
The following subscriptions will be available.

$5.99 a month
$32.00 bi-annually (6-months)
$60.00 annually (12 months)

Payments will be made via paypal subscription or via money-order or check to a PO Box.

I hope this clears up some of the questions, if not ask away

I am still looking for a programmer to help with this. This is a prime opportunity for a developer to get some type of reward for their work.

Mike

Hi Joe,

Good Question!

On VAFS3 Gold, it is free to all Rainbird pilots... The VA pays for it so no worries there Very Happy We are already paid up till November 1st.. It is only $6 a month for the whole VA no matter how many pilots we have.

Hope this helped...Good question...

Jeff
