PostSubject: MCE Freezing   Sat Jan 03, 2009 2:06 pm

I've had a new problem today. MCE has froze up 4 times in FS9 with both the default King Air 350 and the 737. There is no specific time frame. The last freeze was about 20 minutes into to flight. I just notice no response to any commands and I can not even open the control panel. When I open the Windows Task Manager, it says MCE is not responding, and I have to manually close it. FS9 continues to operate normally. I didn't have this problem until I bought the license, but I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it. I haven't tried FSX yet. Any suggestions?

Hi Fleahead..

Sorry for the late response... Wow... This I have not seen.. Is FS still running? When MCE says "not responding?" This is an odd one... Have you sent an email to FS++? I would be interested in hearing the response.

Sorry I was no help here...

Jeff

Yes, FS continues as normal. I can complete the flight manually. It also happened this morning for the first time in FSX. I notified support, but no solution yet. I never had this until I bought the license, but I wouldn't think that should matter. We need more users involved here, but since this is so new a product, I don't imagine there are too many of us fans out there.

I have to tell you what he told me this morning when I doing a takeoff and was experimenting with using the toe brakes to steer during takoff. He kept waring me about using the brakes, and finally exclaimed, "What the hell is the matter applying brakes during takeoff?" Again, I laughed out loud. I hope these guys keep programming these little personally strings.
