Me again!

the guys as FS++ provided the below info very promptly!

"Hi Michael,

This is a false positive reported by AVG anti-virus software, and AVG only. We are liasing with them to resolve the matter.

Unfortunately AVG will even prevent you from using the software, as they move it to the vault.
If you have downloaded our software after the 24 Th. of December, our files are signed as coming from FS++ Limited. Therefore you should take that as legally binding.

Now to be able to try the software, your only course of action is

First Uninstall Multi Crew Experience.
Open AVG user interface
Click Tools->Advanced settings
On the left pane, Click Scans
There are 4 sub items there.
Go through each of them, and disable the "Use heuristics" for every sub item.
After that, our mce.exe should no more be flagged as suspicious, and you will be able to proceed with the trial period.
Software will allow 30 runs or 15 days whichever happens first.

Hope this puts your mind at rest.

The FS++ team."

So I shall follow their advice!

This is what AVG had to say after i e-mailed them the mce.exe

Dear Sir/Madam,

thank you for your email.

It is possible that the detected file is a false alarm. This means
that the file is clean and virus-free, but AVG detects it as a virus.
If so, we shall prepare the correction as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, false alarms do appear from time to time in every
Anti-Virus software.

To solve the problem, please send us this file for analysis directly
from the AVG program this way:

- Open AVG User Interface.
- Choose the "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
- Select the false positive file (one click) and click on the "Send to
analysis" button.

This file will be sent to our technical support for analysis.
Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Best regards,

David Machac

And here is a most ecent reply from AVG

Dear Sir/Madam,

thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, the current virus database version may detect the
mentioned virus on some legitimate applications. We can confirm that
it is a false alarm. We would like to inform you that the false
positive will be removed in the next Definitions update. Please update
your AVG and if a new Definitions update was downloaded, check whether
the file is still detected.

If you need to restore deleted files from AVG Virus Vault you can do
it this way:
- Open AVG user interface.
- Choose "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
- Locate the file that was incorrectly removed and select it (one
click).
- Click on the "Restore" button.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Please feel free to contact us if we can be of further help.

Answers to the most common questions can be found here as well:
