PostSubject: Another "oldtimer" reactivation?   Sun Jun 07, 2009 12:24 pm

Gentlemen,

I've been away from MidCon ince late 2007 and I see there have been some big changes. I had previously emailed Russ in Jan-Feb of this year about reactivating and he said there was a major renovation of the website going on and would let me know when things got back up and running. I never heard any more from him or HR (trying to tell me something guys? Very Happy ) I had heard about a merger with another VA (Rainbird?) but now I see it's good 'ol MidCon back in business. So anyway....

I would like to apply for reactivation when or if possible. I have been off the flight line since late 2007 (finally have re-retired) and I see my beloved Guppy is in the boneyard so I guess I will go for the A320 if available. Please advise what I need to do to get back up and running....err, actually flying and I'll get on it ASAP.

I think my old MCA pilot number was 436 if that helps and my email is still the same: atc81us@charter.net

Thanks and I hope to be back with you boys soon.

Best regards,

Bill Meyers

Hi Bill,

Welcome back!

Here is what you need to do... Go here and download and install VAFS4: It is our new flight client.

http://www.vafinancials.com/newsite/downloads.php

Also make sure you have the correct (FS9 or FSX) free version of FSUIPC, available there as well. Install VAFS4 as it instructs and FSUIPC if needed. Next, watch your email for an activation email. You will sign up with your own generated username and password.

Your MCA number is MCA436, I have you crewed in the A320.

We are currently in "Free Flight" mode but releases will be available very soon although in a little different fashion than they were. You may select any A320 flights from the main web page found here: http://dogcreek.allwebco.com/ (under schedules) Note* You actually select the flight once you are in the sim and it is done after you have launched VAFS4. The schedule on the web site is for preflight and reference.

To answer your question, MCA acquired Rainbird so there are a couple of RB pilots here as well as many familiar faces.

Please ask here in this forum if you have any issues getting started again and once again, welcome back!

Jeff rendeer
