Issues with a mic or headset? Here is the place to discuss solutions and tips for success. A couple of things to keep in mind...

When training using your headset, make sure there are no loud ambient noises and in particular no spurious noises created by dogs or kids Or wives!!

Also.... you may look at sound card capabilities in the User Interface as show here!!

I got MCE, had decent results, and am keen to take it further by investing on a new high quality headset.
What about the new generation of USB headsets? Can anyone provide some advice?

Well, if that helps, i have used the following headset, and it gives me good results

Plantronics Audio 655 Stereo Headset.

Had a chance to try the Labtec Axis-501 out.

Verdict: Useless piece of junk. Not suitable for MCE

I use both a Logitech USB and a Plantronics with excellent luck on both
