ATC? Not in the Cessna

I am desperate. I can get ATC working in the 737 and 747, but not in the Cessna 172SP. No matter what I say, no matter what I try.

I'll give you a rundown of the things I do:

1) Load the Cessna (callsign RAL001) to start up cold and dark in LOWW, parked. No flight plan.

2) Go through all the procedures, start engine and radios.

3) Manually tune to Vienna Ground.

4) Saying one of these sentences with the space bar depressed:

ATC Freq Change Delay Problem

I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue. Occasionally, I get a delay from the time I make an ATC frequency change and the time the co-pilot comes back with the verbage that the radio is tuned to the new center. Keep in mind that no radio communication can be made until MCE actually makes the change. Here's the scenario:

NORMAL VHF FREQUENCY HANDOFF...

[ATC] Delta22 contact Cleveland Center on 120.4

    [ Me] Going to 120.4 Delta22

I then tune to radio to 120.4 either ...

First let me say that I like the concept of this program. The one thing I saw was the ability to respond to ATC via voice instead of using the mouse to click the appropriate number on the screen. I do have Cockpit Chatter and it works as advertised. As most people would have figured out by now there is a but to all of this.

I downloaded the demo to give it a try before buying. Still have not done that. So here is the problem.

My main interest right now is to fly single props so I know that ...

I have had various degrees of success with ATC and I've seen great differences between FS9 & FSX. In FSX, I have a problem where as sometimes the ATC window comes up blank. At that point, I can not issue a reply either verbally or by choosing a number, since there are no choices on the screen. I found that if I optioned the ATC window to always stay on the screen, (disabled auto hide ATC), I was able to eliminate that issue. I find the ATC works much better in FSX than FS9. I have very ...

To those eager to go through the speech traiing over and over, a better idea, might be to create a new profile, and train it from scratch

Go to Windows Control Panel

Double-click , and you get this

Create a new profile, give it a name, and select it. No need to delete old one, as it can be handy.

You may even want to create and train different profiles, examples

I've gone through all the training modules, but I'm still getting rather spotty results with ATC. First of all, I'm using the headset/mike that was sold with VoxATC and seems to be of good quality. I don't think that is an issue. I have never been sucessfull in getting IFR Clearance, but I can get results if, for example, ATC gives my a new heading, and I can acknowledge it by simply responding with my callsign.

ATC> Jetblue 22, turn right heading 130
