This is the first I've heard of this MCE program and noticed that the videos seem to be with default FSX aircraft (or FS9).
I was wondering if it works with aircraft from makers like PMDG, LevelD, Eaglesoft, Flight1, Leonardo MD80, Majestic, Captain Sim, etc.?

Also, how does it work along side of other voice programs like VoxATC? Do you have to use default ATC with MCE?

Thanks,

Hello all,

I read in another message that to get the co-pilot to work in a single engine aircraft, change ForceCopilot=0 to ForceCopilot=1. I tried it on the C172 Cessna and it did not work. I would like it to work because I have the VRInsight Propit which is for single engine aircraft. Once I get it to work I am going to try and modify Propit to work with multi-engine aircraft but I so not have the time right now. Can anybody tell me how to cheat MCE into getting me co-pilot in my C172?

I have the newest version installed but there seems to be some problems or bugs that I cannot resolve.

1. When I am at a non-attended airport facility, I cannot get MCE to work. I've tried issuing a taxi notification, and other commands , but MCE doesn't respond, even after trying to use the default key method such as '1.[Announce Taxi]'.

Now when I say respond, I don't mean a voice acknowledgement. What indicates that MCE recognized the command was that the ATC window would close automatically. ...

That title says it all. I desperately try to become a regular user of MCE but, so far, met with a so dismal level of SR that it is unusable for my flights, and quite frustrating.

Of course, I first trained the SR engine at length both with the default Microsoft and MCE training programmes, and this much more than once(!!!) so as to make sure I would have no excuse for the programme not to perform up to requirements, but in spite of that and of my brand new hardware (Intel I7 940, 4GB, onboard ...

Let's do the cheers first *g*: MCE is the most complete speech recognition program for FSX and it works remarkably well.

Here are my problems: While my co and the cabin crew obey to my commands in 99.9% of all times, I have yet to find a way to make ATC listen to me. Not a single time I was able to say something they understood, despite the fact that I have read the manual about ATC a dozen times. After much correspondence and guidance from the guys at FS++, and a lot of trial and error, this is really now an amazing application. Possibly the greatest realizim boost ever devised for MSFS. Here are a few hints to make the most of this:

I just started evaluating (and today have purchased) MCE. It is looking like an absolutely FANTASTIC piece of software for those of us that run simpits and don't always have someone in the right hand seat.

I'm still having issues, but I fully expect to get them worked out. Support has been GREAT so far.

By the way, I installed a Cepstral voice and the difference in the speech quality is AMAZING. Well worht the extra cost.

I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing my experiences.

I have used VoxATC extensively so I know how to setup voice recognition and stuff. I got bored of VoxATC because of the limitation to fly the flight path only. If MCE does what is says on the tin, it should be a much better product

So I installed MCE, no problem so far
