Captains,

When you get MCE installed and setup... and you are just chomping at the bit to try things... I suggest you start without ATC and give your new Copilot and check ride.

While on the ground try some of the "open and close" commands.... "set flaps" etc...... If you are skilled at jet flying, take your favorite one up for a spin and see how the "set" features work with autopilot on... Like "set airspeed 160" or "set heading 1-4-0" also try "open ATC" and "Close ATC."

This gives a feel for speaking at a normal pace and tone. You can also hear the interactive warnings by exceeding your aircraft flap speeds and then making a "flaps" call. GREAT stuff...

Also make sure and tell your copilot "thanks' every now and again!

This is a great way to get your feet wet and get a feel for talking to a computer!!

Jeff
