I have had various degrees of success with ATC and I've seen great differences between FS9 & FSX. In FSX, I have a problem where as sometimes the ATC window comes up blank. At that point, I can not issue a reply either verbally or by choosing a number, since there are no choices on the screen. I found that if I optioned the ATC window to always stay on the screen, (disabled auto hide ATC), I was able to eliminate that issue. I find the ATC works much better in FSX than FS9. I have very few ATC errors in FSX now. The speed slider setting is also very critical. It takes a great deal of experimenting to get it optimized. I still haven't got FS9 tuned in yet. Sometimes it works just OK, but most of the time it is barely usable. The guys at MCE are making progress though, and each patch gets better.

Anyone else had better results with FS9?
