I am sure that most of you are aware of this "upcoming" release. On the off chance you are not, check this out...

That and Mike Ray's A320 manual are as good reasons as any to go to the 'bus.

Hi Tim!

I agree that Mike Ray's books are very helpful (I have all of them) for beginners, but I am not sure they will be as helpful with this new airbus release. It is "reported" to be a very accurate representation of the "real" thing... we will see if that is so!

Disclaimer To all MCA pilots and staff:

My comments are solely based on my "understanding" of what I "think" is true. I am NO expert by any means and therefore reserve the right to be mistaken, ill informed, or otherwise just plain wrong! Laughing

Since I have already made this statement, about myself, please don't feel the need to tell me something I already know! Laughing

Are you referring to Mike Ray's "Flying the Airbus Series Flight Simulators" one or the "Simulator and Checkride Procedures Manual"? The one is for FS, and the other for real pilots flying the Airbus for real-world airlines in their simulator and checkride evaluations. The second one, along with the FCOM, is exactly what you would need to fly the AirSimmer A320, IMO.

Ah Tim... you're a stubborn man (just like me). And I thought for sure my disclaimer would work. lol!

I have all of Mike Ray's e-books (as stated above). My comment about the Mike Ray books was not to dismiss your comment
as being "incorrect", but rather a comment on the Airsimmer Airbus developer's claim, that it would be a "very realistic represetation"
of the real aircraft.

So, I did not find the Mike Ray book you are refering to as being "very difficult" to follow. Therefore, I am either very smart (lol) or the
"real" airbus is much easier to fly than I thought. In both cases, I hope I am wrong and I hope the Airsimmer claims are correct, and therefore
I will need much more info about the airbus than is available in a Mike Ray type of book. I hope that makes sense. I do tend to babble!

Guys,

The Airsimmer bus has been relaesed as an early Beta, and from what I've seen so far, it is going to be great ! I can't go into detail (we have a non-disclosure agreement) but all the systems delivered so far are mind blowingly-detailed.

Still some things to implement, and bugs to fix, but the guys at Airsimmer are anal about detail and realism. This could be the new standard in sim add-ons.

Sorry for being so vague, but I wouldn't be ranting if I didn't believe in this product.
